This unique situation, makes it a perfect base to explore the Pyrenees with exceptionally rich wild life and spectacular natural wanders and the pretty border towns of France.

Surrounded by natural parks, town of Roses has lots to offer for nature lovers. Walking in the nearby Aiguamolls 

de l´Empordá and Cap de Creus Natural Parks is a delight.


Panoramic views of the mountain peaks on one side of Roses and gorgeous golden beaches on another side make this place absolutely stunning.

The origins of Roses (Greek: Rhodes) going back to the 8th century BC when the first settlers arrived here from ancient Greece. Here, they founded the town and named it Rhodes in honor of their homeland.

There are some reminders of the town's glorious past that are worth to visit:

the 16th century Citadel covers more than 130,000 square metres and contains the remains of the original town of Rhodes, dating back to 776 BC.

Roses also has three "dolmens" (megalithic tombs) as reminders of the people who settled here as far back as the 3rd and 4th centuries BC.

The surrounding area is also reach of culture and history. There are castles, medieval villages, historical cities, fantastic architecture, fiestas and local handcrafts. 

Only 10-15 min drive or bus ride from Roses is a pretty medieval village of Castello d'Empúries. The landmark of the town is the magnificent Church of Santa Maria (14 century).

About one hour from Roses (by bus or car), another attraction is waiting for you.

The ancient walled city of Girona, originally built by Romans as fortress, is a real gem.

Here, you can stroll through one of the best preserved Jewish quarters in Europe or lose yourself in the alluring labyrinth of narrow streets which still reflect Girona's two centuries Moorish occupation.

Roses is particularly well placed to explore the Salvador Dali connection.

You will be amazed by the fascinating surrealist world of Salvador Dali in his birthplace, Figueres.

The Dali Theatre-Museum in Figueres is the largest surrealistic exposition in the world.

Not only is the museum an artwork in itself, it's also home to many famous works by famous eccentric Salvador Dali.

Another museum of Salvador is located near Cadaques at Port-LLigat. It's a weird and wonderful home created by weird and wonderful artist.

Situated between Figueres & Cadaques, Roses is a convenient base to visit both Museums.

And, of course, the biggest attraction of Roses is its coastline with endless stretches of fine sand.Palm-lined promenade running parallel to the sandy beaches for 4 km is a nice place for afternoon walk or jog.


It's a pleasure to wander around picturesque fishing port and marina, take boat excursion to Cadaques or simply chill out with glass of wine in one of the seafront restaurants watching sunset.

Our apartment is located in the very heart of Roses, on pedestrian street next to the promenade, only 50 meters from the beach.

So you can enjoy swimming before breakfast or any time during the day.

Thanks to central location, you will be close to many town attractions, local restaurants, supermarkets, elegant boutiques, Internet cafe, banks with ATM machines, shops where you can find daily foreign newspapers.

There is also daily local market nearby where you can buy fruits, vegetables and local delicacies.

If you want to buy inexpensive clothing or household products, you may visit weekly Sunday market near Citadel, just few blocks away from the Tourist Office.

If you come without car, bus station is just 5 minutes walk from our apartment.

From Roses bus station, you can travel directly by bus to:

To make your stay pleasant and comfortable, our spacious apartment is newly furnished and fully equipped.

3 bedroom apartment (110 sq meters) is located on the 3rd floor of a 4-story building with elevator.

Air conditioners are installed in all 4 rooms.

Comfortably sleeps 6.

1st room-2 single beds, wardrobe, dresser.

2nd room- 2 single beds, dresser.

3rd room - one double bed, dresser, storage unit, closet, small table, 2 armchairs, Satellite TV.

4th room/lounge with balcony - sofa bed, large table with chairs, 2 armchairs, furniture set, Satellite TV

Kitchen - refrigerator, microwave, stove & oven, coffee maker, cookware & utensils, table & chairs.

Washing machine is on the kitchen balcony.

2 bathrooms (first – toilet & bathtub, second – toilet & shower)

We provide bed linen & towels.
